Atlantic City Sand Sculptor Makes National Television Appearance

John Gowdy is an Atlantic City legend, who served as an Atlantic City, New Jersey professional firefighter for 27 years, (1980-2007) — reaching the rank of superior officer — retiring as a Captain.

Additionally, Gowdy also served the City of Atlantic City as a beach patrol lifeguard from 1973-1980.

Appearing On Fox & Friends National Morning Television Program

Today’s hosts, (Charlie Hurt, Griff Jenkins and Lisa Booth) have not been advised exactly what Gowdy is building on their Fox Square outdoor facility.

Gowdy has become a world class sculptor in sand and marble, as well as an accomplished painter in oil and acrylic.

Gowdy and his wife, and work partner, Laura Cimador-Gowdy, have traveled the country and world, displaying their immense talents.

The Gowdy's have been married since July 26, 2011.

I wrote about The Gowdy’s back in 2024 and was very moved by a Gowdy sand sculpture at the waters edge created in Normandy, France. It is such a a powerful interpretation of the great sacrifice exhibited by brave American soldiers, who really were The Greatest Generation. (See above).
