An Atlantic County man has learned his fate in connection to child porn-related charges.

Prosecutors say on Wednesday, 50-year-old Hector Soto of Minotola was sentenced to six years in state prison after pleading guilty to one
count of second-degree endangering the welfare of a child/sexual conduct and one count of third-degree possession of exploitive images of children.

The charges stemmed from his contact with a 13-year-old boy in December 2014.

Authorities say a search of Soto's phone revealed explicit photos of the victim as well as pictures of other juveniles.

In addition to the prison sentence, Soto will be required to register under Megan’s Law and be required to be on parole supervision for life.

The initial investigation was led by detectives from the Franklin Township Police Department in Gloucester County.
