If you were still debating where to go on vacation, I have found the answer you were looking for...puppy island.

Ok, so it's not called puppy island officially, but I mean that's what it is.

Turks and Caicos is home to this magical place. I am going to go out on a limb and say Disney has competition on the whole "the most magical place on earth" thing.

This island of puppies is called Providenciales and is home to Potcake Place, a dog rescue.

What's a potcake?

A potcake is a local dog breed and they look so adorable!!

According to the organization there is no animal shelter in Turks and Caicos. Potcake Place takes in these dogs, get them vaccinated, dewormed, and get them other health treatments. The organization's staff is all unpaid volunteers.

Here is a before and after of a puppy they cared for:

According to their site:

This is the only alternative we can see to them starving in the bush, being run over, intentionally poisoned, dying of heartworm, ehrlicia, parvo or being euthanized.

The organization has been around since 1997, founded by Jane Parker-Rauw. In 2010, they started allowing people to play with the dogs on the beach to increase their image on social media.

Dogs + Beach + Social Media = WIN.

Having the puppies played with also helps them socialize, which makes them friendly, social, and great with strangers.

The best part of this dog rescue?

They keep the dogs until they are adopted!

Puppies and a tropical beach? Count me in!
