You may or not know that the headquarters of Spencer's Gifts and Spirit Halloween is located right here in South Jersey. In the words of the late rapper Biggie Smalls, "if you don't know, now you know."

Who didn't grow up LOVING walking into Spencer's during a mall trip? I don't know about you, but my mom was super strict, so it always felt a little naughty walking around Spencer's with my friends when I was a kid since their products are suited for mature consumers. We'll just leave it at that.

Spirit Halloween is the ULTIMATE Halloween headquarters. I won't lie, they get a decent amount of my money every year. I always walk out of there with at least SOMETHING to add to my home Halloween decor. I can't help it. I LOVE Halloween!

Apparently, so does everybody else. The company announced an epic expansion project that broke ground in Egg Harbor Township on Thursday, May 18th. The company is expanding their South Jersey headquarters. According to a press release, the campus will soon span 24 acres of land. Just to put it in perspective for you, that's the length of five baseball fields.

The compound will include everything from outdoor meeting spaces, charging stations for electric vehicles, walking paths, and even a fitness center for employees. It sounds like it's a pretty fun place to work. Imagine getting to go on a mini-hike during your lunch break! Not a bad deal, right?

They currently employ around 30,000 people across the United States. 700 people currently work in the corporate headquarters here in South Jersey. This expansion means more employment opportunities, too. You're encouraged to check out the company's careers pages if you're interested in applying.

Completion is expected in 2024.
