A reminder to criminals: cameras are everywhere these days.

Atlantic City Police say a man from Villas was arrested early Monday morning after being seen on camera by Atlantic City surveillance center personnel pulling on car door handles.

Around 1AM, ACPD officers responded to beach block of Delancey Place after surveillance center personnel observed 30-year-old Sean Conyers checking car doors. Conyers was placed in custody for an active arrest warrant.

While searching Conyers, an officer found a wallet, keys, and identification for another man in Conyers’ jacket pocket, according to police. The officer was familiar with that man who works at a local business and he said his vehicle had been burglarized earlier in the morning on Providence Avenue. Surveillance Center personnel reviewed camera footage and saw Conyers entering the vehicle.

Conyers was charged with burglary, theft, and contempt of court; he was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility.
