Tour of Atlantic City’s New Bass Pro Shops

Thanks to the gracious folks at the new Bass Pro Shops, I got a sneak preview of the store - the Bass Pro Shops Outpost in Atlantic City.

If you're an outdoors-man of any kind, this is your destination!

Even if you don't hunt or fish, you're bound to find something inside this huge store, slated to open in Mid-April.

Here's a preview of what you are going to see in the store.

The entrance is reminiscent of an old hunting outpost, built with authentic pieces gathered by the Bass Pro Shops staff.

Once you step inside the store, you'll notice a massive fish tank, almost in the center of the store. The freshwater tank is stocked with fish native to New Jersey, with more species added almost daily.

The store is dividend into areas like hunting, fishing, camping, and more - with each department led by local experts in that particular area.

While the store appears almost ready to open, there's still work to be done. An indoor marine center is being built, with boats to be on display inside the store.

On the second floor stands an indoor pistol range - the only shooting range inside the Atlantic City city limits. Users will have to supply their own firearm to use the range.

The store really seems to have something for any kind of outdoors-man (or outdoors woman). In addition to being well-stocked, the building itself is beautiful, much of which includes scenery representing various parts of New Jersey.
