2 drivers in NASCAR's top series will be in Atlantic City Wednesday evening to help Bass Pro Shops open in Atlantic City.

The Bass Pro Shops Outpost is holding a special grand opening beginning at 6pm Wednesday. The event will features celebrities, politicians, and more as Bass celebrates an Evening of Conservation.

Among the celebrities scheduled to attend are NASCAR Sprint Series drivers Tony Stewart and Martin Truex - who's from Mayetta in Ocean County, plus former Eagles running back Brian Westbrook. New Jersey Governor Chris Christie will be there, as well as:

• Kevin VanDam, four-time Bassmaster Classic Champion, seven-time Bassmaster Angler of the Year.
• George Poveromo, host of “George Poveromo’s World of Saltwater Fishing” television show on NBC Sports.
• TJ Ott, as seen on “Wicked Tuna” television show.
• Captain Bill “Hollywood” Muniz, as seen on “Wicked Tuna” television show.
• Walter Parrott, RedHead pro hunting team member and champion turkey caller.
•  Bryan Anderson, Army veteran and purple heart recipient; national spokesperson for USA Cares.
•  Cierra Kaler-Jones, Miss New Jersey 2014.

 

Doors will open for this special preview celebration from 6:30pm - 10:30pm. According to store officials,

For every dollar spent during the Evening for Conservation, 50 cents will be donated to the New Jersey Wild Outdoor Expo, Conserve Wildlife Foundation of New Jersey, and Wonders of Wildlife, The American National Fish and Wildlife Museum.

Local conservation groups and agencies on hand Wednesday evening will include National Wild Turkey Federation, Ducks Unlimited, New Jersey Outdoor Alliance Group, International Game Fish Association, and U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service.
