Twitter Claps Back At The World During The Facebook And Instagram Outages
Congratulations, survivors! We made it!
No, I'm not just talking about surviving another Monday, but congratulations on that point, too.
I'm referring to the massive Instagram and Facebook blackout that frustrated the entire world. In case you were living under a rock over the last 24 hours or if you're one of those non-social-media-having-unicorns that's totally unaware of why every person you came across on Monday seemed to really annoyed, don't worry, it wasn't you. Facebook, Instagram, and a few other platforms were rendered utterly useless for hours upon hours on Monday. The issues were so bad that both the apps and the websites were down for the better part of six hours. Some places experienced the platforms down for even longer.
Now that the systems are finally back online, everyone can get back to stalking each other's lives, posting inspirational quotes, and selling whatever their specific MLM company pushes on users every single day. While the two platforms were down, though, there was one social media site that made absolutely sure to capitalize on the moment. And capitalize, Twitter certainly did. Hilariously, in fact.
made sure to say hi to everyoneOn top of that, major brands like Nike, Adidas, McDonald's, KFC, Dell, Zoom, and even Google Play all hopped in on the conversation. Kudos to Twitter for their insane savagery in the way they handled the situation. If you didn't before, after falling down that Tweet rabbit hole, you'll have a newfound appreciation for Twitter like you've never had before.
