We Gave Out Hundreds of Thanksgiving Meals to Local Families in Need, Thanks to You

On Thursday, we handed out hundreds of Thanksgiving dinner kits to families in need in South Jersey, and our ability to do so can only be attributed to the generosity of Matt Blatt Kia and YOU. So, we wanted to show you what we made of your Feed A Family donations.

We thank all who donated to our cause with the Atlantic City Rescue Mission SO MUCH. You have our deepest gratitude for helping us raise over $14,000 in donations during our Feed A Family Radiothon on November 12th. It gave the Townsquare Media South Jersey family of radio stations and the AC Rescue Mission, our steadfast partner, the resources we needed to create 400 meals for our friends and neighbors struggling with food insecurity during the pandemic.

We watched as car after car came rolling into our parking lot in Northfield. It was immediately clear just how great the need for food assistance is in our community right now. We know that some families are struggling with paying a utility bill or put gas in their car or spending those dollars on a Thanksgiving dinner. No family should have to choose.

We also have to thank the Matt Blatt family of dealerships in South Jersey for matching $5,000 in donations. Their support does not go unnoticed.

It was so inspiring to see the whole Townsquare South Jersey team come together, united in our mission to feed local families for Thanksgiving. If 2020 has shown us anything, it's that life in unpredictable, and we ourselves never know when we might also need help. Helping each other, BEING there for each other, is what community is all about, and we're proud to be part of this one.
