19-Year-Old Mays Landing Man Busted for Armed Robbery
An armed robbery yesterday afternoon has landed a Mays Landing man in jail.
Hamilton Township Police responded to the report of a robbery of a juvenile victim in the area of the Black Horse Pike and Wrangleboro Road. Following a brief search, they arrested Jullius Bechard, 19, of Mays Landing.According to police:
He was ultimately charged with first degree armed robbery, second degree unlawful possession of a weapon, second degree possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose, conspiracy and theft. He was remanded to the Atlantic County Justice Facility on $50,000 bail set by the Honorable Judge Switzer. A handgun was recovered during the investigation.
As a result of the investigation, a second suspect has been named: Bryan Highsmith, 20, of Galloway Township. Highsmith has yet to be located, and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. If you have information on his whereabouts, you're asked to call Hamilton Township Police at 609-625-2700.
