A beloved South Jersey restaurant finished its 67th season in business on Sunday, and, apparently, their final season. Mildred's Restaurant in Strathmere has closed their doors for good, according to the Sea Isle Times.

Since 1952, Mildred's has been known as restaurant that people have traveled to.  Located on the Ocean Drive between Ocean City and Sea Isle City in Strathmere, Mildred's was founded by legendary restaurateurs Charles and Mildred Conascenta.

Chef Andy Raffa and his wife Sallee have been running the restaurant for close to 30 years now. No reason was given for the restaurant's closing.

Raffa went to work as a dishwasher in 1965. Several years ago, he shared the story with the Press of Atlantic City of being 6-years old when he saw the Conascenta's transporting a dining car that had been the original Llanarch Diner in suburban Philadelphia, through Sea Isle City and on to Strathmere and setting it up on cinder blocks to serve as Mildred's in Strathmere.
