It's not the home opener, but Philadelphia Phillies baseball starts today.  I couldn't be happier!

At 1:35PM today at PNC Park in Pittsburgh, the Phillies will take the field for the season opener.  Roy Halladay will start on the pitchers mound against Pittsburgh's Erik Bedard.

The home opener is next Monday at 1:05PM against the Marlins.

The Phillies make me so happy for many, many, many reasons.  I love baseball, it's America's past time.  Also, a nice long baseball game on a Sunday afternoon means a nice long nap on the couch.  And it's the beginning of outdoor drinking season.

The last one may be my favorite!

Go Phils!!
