Did you ever wonder if New Jersey is a good state to be in if you want to see a UFO? As if there's nothing else on our to-do list.

There might be no state where the phrase "we are not alone" is more appropriate, but it might have more to do with the thousands of other cars on the Parkway than it does with little green people.

Despite that, we have all heard reports of UFOs over the Garden State, and in case you're wondering if we're as popular with ET's as we are with New York and North Jersey tourists, apparently we are not.

It seems our friends from other galaxies have not discovered the charms of the Jersey Shore, or any part of the Garden State for that matter. Believe it or not, we don't rank high on this list either.

When it comes to states with the most UFO sightings per 100,000 people, according to Satellite Internet, we rank 42nd. Maybe even advanced beings can't figure out jughandles and traffic circles, or maybe they're just smart enough to avoid them altogether.

For the record, the top state is Washington (not D.C., although that might make more sense to many)  with 78.22 sightings per 100,000 people. New Jersey has 25.53 per 100,000.

In summary, we may see a lot of strange things in the Garden State, but it turns out most of them have a very Earthly origin.
