With Chief Meteorologist Dan Zarrow calling for about an inch of accumulation for Monmouth and Ocean Counties on Friday evening, it's important to do a quick car maintenance check before the snow showers arrive.

With all that winter salt and slushy mess getting kicked up, making it difficult to see, checking your car's windshield washer fluid is crucial. Fill up! You probably used a lot of it up during the past couple of weeks. I know I did.
My car is still filthy from the last storm, but of course, it's one thing for my car to be dirty; it's another if I can't see clearly.

It's also important to make sure your windshield wipers weren't damaged and are working properly.
You see it all the time during a storm: the wipers are left up on a vehicle. But with the abundance of ice we had in that last storm, they may have been damaged. Just double-check and make sure they're good to go.

It's also crucial to make sure your tire pressure is good. The ideal tire pressure for most vehicles is usually between 28 and 36 PSI (pounds per square inch).
