Over the weekend on March 16th, the Jersey City Education Association went on strike to stand strong against healthcare deductions that have caused educators all over New Jersey to experience net decrease in their take-home pay. Apparently, the leaders of the organization have been failing to offer relief to those in the Jersey City district.

In which case, the community, parents, students and the union are asking for help in standing up for what they believe is right, by helping them bear the burden of their financial loss through the strike! Supporters have not only stood by their side to show how much our teachers our appreciated, but they've also created a GoFundMe page to help facilitate the needs for those who are battling the financial struggles. In which case, the funds collected will be distributed to the JCEA members based on need through an application process. The contributions made through the GoFundMe Page are not tax deductible.
