Stockton University has received an awesome Christmas gift a few weeks early.

NJ.com reports a large sum has been donated to Stockton University totaling $8 million. It's expected to be put towards the university's expansion into Atlantic City. The money was donated by entrepreneur John F. Scarpa, a South Jersey native who will have two buildings named after him, one on the Atlantic City campus and one on the Galloway campus.

Scarpa reportedly had expressed sentiments that suggest his reason for the donation being to give the students of South Jersey a stellar education while simultaneously ensuring they don't have to leave the state to do so.
