Please.  The National Anthem is a beautiful song that (in my opinion) is not open for artistic interpretation.

 

If you are at Woodstock and you're Jimi Hendrix, fine, mix it up a bit.  If you are singing for the National Championship game at the Superdome, just sing the damn song.  Bring people to tears and make them feel proud to be an American.  Respect the service men and women that you are surrounded by.
