    The Coastline Reader

The coastline reader is a middle aged woman who sets her chair up right at the water's edge. She doesn't use an umbrella and doesn't actually go into the water. She lets the water get her feet wet as she reads her book.

    The Sprinting Sand Flicker

You're laying on your towel, minding your own business; when a group of kids come stampeding by like the wildebeest in The Lion King. What's amazing and breaks the law of physics is, all of the other kids go by without a problem, however one kid manages to kick up a wave of sand onto your towel.

    The Tent Popper

Let me say this once, camping tents do not belong on a beach unless you are camping. Worried about the sun? That's what beach umbrellas are for. The tent poppers set up as far away as they can from the water, which is appreciated. They have their entire extended family with them, a boombox, and folding table.

    The Cutest Couple Ever

You never actually see where they are set up on the beach, you just see them as they walk past. They are an older couple, walking hand in hand along the water getting their feet wet. You see them walk past at least twice.

The parent's of her kids' friends and living it up without their kids for a day. Bravo other parents, bravo.

    The Boombox DJ

Picture this you are relaxing on the sand, listening to the crashing waves and gulls, and enjoying a day on the beach. Then your ear catches the sound of music from the distance. The sound gets louder and louder until it sounds like it's just behind you. Do they still call them boomboxes anymore?

The "Journey of the Center of the Earth" Copy Cat

This kid has two distinct characteristics: they dig a hole that could swallow a truck and they ask everyone to bury them. They enjoy the sand more than the water. You hear their parents ask them in defeat to fill in the hole, but they never do.
