Who knew it was that simple, right?

Well, turns out, it's true. A psychologist recently revealed to the publication The Mirror that the more Christmas movies one watches throughout the course of the year, the better headspace one will maintain. Apparently, watching Christmas movies leads to a shift in the brain that's responsible for mood improvement as it breaks the normal routine.

Also, if you were thinking about pressing the pause button on hanging up the Christmas decorations, mental health professionals say get to it. Decorating for Christmas causes a spike in dopamine levels. Dopamine is the chemical released in our brains that's responsible for pleasure.

If watching Christmas movies and decorating can release anxiety like the experts say it can, I should've whipped out the Christmas tree the day after Halloween.
