The folks who run Battleship New Jersey - once a US Navy Ship, now a floating museum - are planning a special adult-oriented tour about the ship named after our home state.

The event happens Thursday (July 29th), beginning at 6pm.

According to the Battleship New Jersey website, this will be an "adults-only" tour. The tour will be conducted by the ship's curator, and "will take guests off the public tour route."

The tour promises to "showcase the more mature sailor art created over the years." (It doesn't say anything about the less mature art, which, frankly, may be even more interesting to those of us who still possess a 13-year-olds mind when it comes to such things....)

Also on the tour: the sharing of adult stories.

I looked, but I can't find anything that talks about what you should wear to such an event....

You can find out more and get your tickets here. Tickets are $30 - again, you must be 21 or older, and $15 for Battleship members.

By the way, the Battleship New Jersey is in Camden. Here's some information about what they do (when they're not sharing adult stories):

“The mission of the Battleship New Jersey Museum and Memorial is to restore, preserve, and exhibit the continuing history of the USS New Jersey and those who worked and served on her so their service will continue to educate and inspire future generations.”

Presumably, they normally do all that fully clothed.
