The Philadelphia Zoo offers some pretty cool behind-the-scenes experiences for animal lovers. Want to feed a penguin? Ever think about brushing a rhino! Do you like giraffes? If you answered yes to any of these questions, you’re in luck. There are a few animals that the zoo keepers at the Philadelphia Zoo will let you get up close and personal to, while learning a great deal about them.

These behind-the-scenes experiences last about 20-minutes and are in groups of 6 or less. The knowledgeable zookeepers will teach you all about your favorite animal, while getting a closer look than your average zoo visit.

Visitors mist reserve a spot ahead of time and tickets start at $45.00.

If you love penguins, zookeepers will bring you into their Penguin Point exhibit to meet some Humboldt Penguins. The best part is you get to assist in feeding them.

Do the massive jaws of hippopotamuses fascinate you? You can meet and feed the zoo’s very own Cindy and Unna. You can also feed giraffes and otters.

There are some other hands-on experiences with other animals as well. You can pet tortoises, brush rhinos, and get a behind-the-scenes look at some big cats.
