Today marks 18 years since our country changed forever.

Everyone remembers exactly where they were when they first heard the news that a plane hit the North Tower (1 World Trade). From that moment on, the world would never be the same. It doesn't matter what else was happening at that moment. Everyone just stopped and stared at the television or listened to the radio waiting to hear that there had been some kind of mistake, that this wasn't America's reality.

The tragedy of September 11th, 2001 shaped the USA forever. The unity and loyalty to our country that Americans felt on the days (even a few years) that followed are feelings only felt now once a year on the anniversary of this day. The national pride that illuminated this country for the first few years after the attacks are now a memory which is a sad commentary even of itself.

As a result of that feeling, beautiful art was created, movies were made, and songs were written in an attempt to preserve all the different emotions that swept through our country that day.

The best pieces were full of the utmost patriotism. Everyone was proud to be an American and was reminded of just how proud on 9/11. Remember that feeling by playing these 6 songs that embody the emotions of every single American on that day:
