Atlantic City Casino Will Pay Out Cash to Basketball Shooters

Can you sink some free throws? Care to put your money where your mouth is?

Borgata Hotel Casino and Spa in Atlantic City will now allow customers to gamble their money on a game of skill.

Unlike most casino games where slot machines, cards, dice, or dominoes are used - and chance plays at least a part - Borgata is putting into play the element of skill with this game.

A free throw shooting contest is taking place at Borgata on Saturday, March 21st.

The $10,000 Guaranteed Basketball Free Throw Tournament features a $20 buy-in (1 rebuy permitted) and consists of three rounds each 90 seconds in length. Participants will compete to play in the final round of 16 in bracket format. The winner of each pairing will advance to the next level of the bracket until a champion is crowned. The top 4 participants from the final round will be awarded a collective prize pool of $10,000.

 

Who can enter? Anyone 21 and over and legally allowed to gamble. Professional basketball players? Sure - Borgata would love to have them!
