Atlantic City Cops: Two Arrested With Drugs in Two Separate Incidents
Cops targeting drug dealers on Florida Avenue in Atlantic City arrested two men in separate incidents Wednesday.
Atlantic City Police say they were acting on complaints from residents in the area.
During their surveillance, ACPD detectives say they observed 24-year-old Roger Serrano of Atlantic City loitering on the block. Serrano was found to have an active warrant for his arrest. Detectives arrested Serrano who was found to be in possession of 270 bags of heroin and six grams each of cocaine and marijuana.
Later Wednesday, detectives returned to Florida Avenue and conducted a CDS investigation; they arrested 48-year-old Ronnie Jones of Atlantic City. Cops say Jones was found to be in possession of 68 bags of heroin, 24 bags of cocaine, and a small amount of marijuana.
Both Jones and Serrano were each charged with three counts of possession of CDS and two counts of possession with intent to distribute CDS and possession with intent to distribute CDS within 1,000 feet of a school zone.
Both men were released on a summons with a future court date.
