Can You Pop Popcorn in a Car?

One of life's mysteries, can you pop popcorn inside a hot car? I set out to find the answer to this burning question.

Last Friday it was around 80 degrees in most places in South Jersey. I know that this means it is much hotter inside a car. My curiosity was piqued and I had to find out if it was hot enough to pop popcorn inside my car.

I've seen pictures of people baking cookies in their car on a hot summer day. I though if you can bake cookies there should be no reason why I can't pop popcorn. Granted, it isn't quite summer yet and it hasn't been in the upper 90's or 100's yet. Nevertheless I wanted to see if my car got hot enough.
