Caesars Entertainment is planning a $56 million renovation of Harrah's in Atlantic City.

WTXF-TV reports hotel rooms in the casino's Harbour Tower, which will be renamed the Coastal Tower, will be redesigned and renovated over the next several months, with the first new batch of rooms becoming available early next year.

The renovation is part of $250 million worth of spending at Harrah's over the past few years.

Harrah's opened November 22, 1980, and was the city's first casino not on the boardwalk.
