Iconic Holiday Display Returns to Cherry Hill Thanks to ‘Mr. Christmas’
After skipping 2020 due to the pandemic, an iconic holiday display is back from hiatus in Cherry Hill thanks to a man the locals call 'Mr. Christmas'.
That man is Ralph Gaudio.
Growing up in Camden County, my family would take a ride to Burlington Co. to G Boys Garden Center in Marlton every holiday season to bask in its dazzling Christmas lights and decorations.
This year's setup, sponsored by McDonald's, invites visitors of all ages to walk through Santa's Workshop, a Victorian village, a Bat Cave, a Looney Tunes fishing boat excursion, and a tiny McD's, Courier Post reports. You'll also see Winnie-the-Pooh and Piglet, a few Christmasy Muppets, and maybe even spot 'Mr. Christmas' Ralph Gaudio himself who spends a lot of the season on-site greeting all the good little South Jersey boys and girls.
There's also a memory wall including photos of Gaudio displays from Christmases past, in case you want to relive your childhood like me.
A Gaudio's holiday display is ALWAYS something to see. So, if you like Christmas trees, tons of lights, animatronic decorations, and more, you should put this on your holiday bucket list.
Gaudio's G Boys Animation Wonderland is open now through Christmas Eve at McNaughton's Garden Center, located at 351 Kresson Road in Cherry Hill, with the exception of Thanksgiving.
Hours are noon to 8:30 p.m. Otherwise, you can go Monday-Wednesday 12 p.m. to 8 p.m., Thursdays and Fridays 12 p.m. to 8:30 p.m., Saturday 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m., and on Sunday from 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m.
Welcome back, G Boys!
