This past weekend, Jason Aldean performed for two nights at Fenway Park in Boston and besides putting on an amazing concert; Aldean also broke two attendance records in the process.

Aldean took the stage Friday and Saturday night along with country stars Miranda Lambert, Jake Owen and Thomas Rhett.

Even though Aldean is from Georgia and a huge Atlanta Braves fan, he was still honored to be the first country music star to ever play at Fenway Park. Tickets for his July 13th show sold out within minutes, so he later added the Friday night show so more fans would be able to attend.

Before Aldean, Paul McCartney held the record for single night event attendance and Dave Matthews Band held the record for a two night concert event, but Aldean shattered both of those records with more than 70,000 fans coming out to see his show.

In a statement about breaking the attendance record at Fenway Jason noted, “I heard we also set a new all time record for beer sales. They drank Boston dry...it was wild!”
