Ah, the age-old debate of who had it worse. That's the normal dinner conversation that happens between baby boomers and millennials once the subjects of finances and the overall quality of life are brought up.

The Jubilee Youtube Channel produces videos designed to encourage healthy conversations between opposing people, parties, and ideologies through intelligent, civilized conversation. In their series "Middle Ground", one episode features six people, three millennials and three baby boomers, that are asked their opinions on basically everything the two generations don't see from the same perspective.

In this video, they cover everything from the "lazy-millennial" stereotype to the "lackadaisical attitude" baby boomers are known to sometimes display towards the millennial generation's financial state. Check out the video below:

So, what's the verdict? Who's right: millennials or baby boomers? The answer is - there is no "right" or "wrong" generation. Different problems affect each one. To bridge the gap, a conversation needs to be had. For example, millennials will never know how it felt to be in the beginning stages of the civil right movement. Boomers, however, will not know how it feels to not be able to afford the basics of the American dream. The best way to find "middle ground", Jubilee proves, is honest and transparent dialogue.
