A Burlington County man now sits in jail after he reportedly called in a bomb threat to an elementary school earlier this week.

NJ.com reports B. Bernice Young Elementary School suffered a bomb scare after Sharif Brooks, 28, called in a threat to pull police away from a drug bust that had already been underway. Turns out, Brooks is a drug dealer and apparently was attempting to draw cops away from the scene.

The scam didn't work. Now, Brooks has been arrested and is currently being held at Burlington County Jail. Police did find drugs, paraphernalia, and a stolen weapon after completing the initial investigation.
