Patient Caught After Escaping Ancora Psychiatric Hospital

Ancora patient Marvin Smith of Camden was apprehended this week after escaping custody while being transported back to the facility from another hospital.

NJ.com says Smith escaped from the car that was taking him back to Ancora after being treated for an injury when he fled from the vehicle while it was stopped at a light on Rt. 73.

He wasn't found until the following morning when he was spotted on a bicycle in Berlin. Smith allegedly broke into a garage and slept in a car overnight. The bike he was found riding was taken from the same garage.
