Prosecutor: Delanco, NJ, Vol. Fire Chief Inappropriately Touched Woman’s Breasts
Authorities say a volunteer chief of a fire department in Burlington County has been charged with, "touching the breasts of a woman from another local emergency services agency who had come to the fire house for work purposes."
Burlington County Prosecutor Scott Coffina and Delanco Township Police Chief Jesse DeSanto say 45-year-old Todd R. Johnsen, the volunteer chief of the Delanco Fire Department, has been charged with one count of fourth-degree criminal sexual contact in connection with the incident on June 19th inside the Delanco Fire House.
Coffina's office says an investigation began after the victim reported the contact to Delanco police. A press release states,
"The investigation revealed that Johnsen entered the room where the victim was seated at a table, then leaned over and wrapped his arms around her. It is alleged that Johnsen placed an arm under her breasts and pushed them up as he put his head down on top of her breasts, leaving it there for several seconds before removing himself from her and walking away."
Johnsen is scheduled for a court hearing on December 6th.
The public is reminded that charges are accusations and all persons are considered innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
