Sad News From Storybook Land

Some sad news this morning from a very happy place.

Storybook Land, in Egg Harbor Township,  is where generations of families from the area, and even those from out of the area, have spent precious moments.

One of the co-founders of Storybook Land has passed away.

A post on Storybook Land's Facebook page says that Esther Fricano has died. She was 93 years old. Ester founded Storybook Land, along with her late husband, John Fricano Sr.

The park's website says Storybook Land began in 1955.

Because of Esther Fricano's memorial service, the park will be closed on Saturday.
