South Jersey Police Detective Accused of Stealing Evidence
A police detective in South Jersey has been arrested and charged with stealing evidence.
Harvey Cedars Police Department Detective Christopher Oldham is accused of stealing a valuable silver necklace from the evidence room.
Oldham's defense for absconding with the jewelry was that the piece was unclaimed and turned over to the Borough to be auctioned off. But that claim was false, 6abc.com reports.
There's no word on what crime investigation the necklace may have been involved in.
