South Jersey Walmarts Soon To Distribute COVID Vaccine
Multiple businesses and pharmacies are beginning preparations to offer the COVID-19 vaccine once it actually becomes readily available to all.
Reports have been released that claim here in South Jersey, residents will be able to head to their nearest Walmart or Sam's Club location in order to get their stick. At the moment, not everyone is eligible to receive the vaccine. It's still only first responders, essential workers (like grocery store personnel), people 65 and older, and smokers who are currently allowed to make an appointment to get theirs. That's if you can even get one....
Even though the majority of the population is currently ineligible for the vaccine, it's almost impossible to even make an appointment anywhere to receive one. NJ.com reports that Governor Murphy has said he wants almost 70% of the entire state's residents to receive the vaccine by May. That almost seems impossible given the fact that appointments are, at the present, few and far between.
Still, the Walmarts in Toms River, Hamilton, Pleasantville, Franklin, Pennsville, and Vineland will all be offering the vaccine once there's enough to go around. While you can't go ahead and schedule an appointment at any of these locations right now, Walmart's website does have an easy user-friendly store locator for people to pinpoint which is their closest location to receive the vaccine upon availability.
