Restaurants

If there's one thing we have in South Jersey, it's restaurants. Lots of restaurants. Yet it's always exciting when a new restaurant comes on the scene.

This is by no means a be-all-end-all-list, but it should spark some ideas of Atlantic and Cape May area restaurants that seem to embrace the farm-to-table concept.

So, where's the best place in the USA for chicken fingers?

JW's Restaurant in Absecon - often cited for its great breakfast (and more) has announced they will be closing their doors forever.

Introducing Sally Boy's Pizza, Specialties, and Marketplace. Sal Basile wanted to create something different. The result is something unlike what is out there already. Think of it as a one-stop shop with high quality, tasty grab and go Italian favorites. Of course, they have seating as well for those who want to get out.

For sure, Red Oak Restaurant caters to the tourist crowd that visits our area and wants a quick, hot meal. They offer that with a large selection to choose from. For breakfast, reviewers on Yelp said they offered all the typical staples of a breakfast buffet, like scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage and such. They also offer chipped beef and scapple.

One of the first orders of business when my wife arrived to join me in Jersey, was to find good Chinese take-out.
