This Cape May County family has been making duck decoys for over forty-five years!

Ever hear of the Hand family? State of the Arts NJ featured that story in one of their Youtube videos in which they profiled the life and profession of J.P. Hand and his apprentice, Dave Billig. They carve the duck decoys out of white cedar wood and the creations are some of the most gorgeous works of art.

Seriously... they're not just decoys. They're art. Check it out:

How beautiful are these? Like I said, they're works of art. South Jersey is home to so many gifted and talented people. While duck hunting and waterfowl season is still a few months away, it's still cool to know that we have these original accessories available to us right in our own backyard.
