Blake Shelton Joins ‘The Voice’ Coaches for Amazing Rendition of TLC’s ‘Waterfalls’ [Watch]
Season 12 coaches of The Voice, Blake Shelton, Gwen Stefani, Alicia Keys and Adam Levine, unite to perform an incredible rendition of the R&B classic, "Waterfalls" in a new video.
Gathered in an intimate living room setting, the four superstars sit in a circle to perform an acoustic version of the hit song by 90s pop and R&B group TLC. With Shelton and Levine on guitar and Keys on piano, the foursome take turns singing the song's verses and chorus, with the two ladies fiercely rapping the song's second verse. For a country boy, Shelton holds his own on the track, showing off the melodic side of his voice that blends nicely with those of his co-stars.
Shelton and Levine head back to the coaches chairs for the sixth year in a row, while Keys and Stefani return for their second and third go-arounds, respectively. Stefani first appeared as a coach on the show in 2014 during season 7, while Keys made her debut on season 11 in 2016. Stefani and country star Shelton began dating in 2015 after meeting on the show.
It was recently announced that Luke Bryan is set to join Shelton's team as an adviser in the upcoming 2017 season. Sundance Head, winner of season 11 and former member of Team Blake, is hitting the road with the "Every Time I Hear That Song" singer on his Doing It to Country Songs Tour that kicked off Feb. 16 in Bakersfield, Calif. and continues through March. The tour also includes fellow Voice and Team Blake alum RaeLynn.
Season 12 of The Voice debuts on Monday (Feb. 27).
