You can expect an increased police presence at Vineland schools today after a social media threat threatened harm at a school in the district on Wednesday.

In a Facebook post on Tuesday evening, Vineland Police said they were aware of a social media threat that is being circulated regarding a threat of "harm to others tomorrow at an undisclosed school in Vineland".

The post from police says that investigators are actively pursuing the threat and police plan to have an increased presence at Vineland schools districtwide on Wednesday.

This threat comes within 48 hours of the much-publicized school shooting at an elementary school in Nashville, TN.

Vineland Police are asking for any information you may have about the source of this school threat. You may contact Sergeant Nick Sterchele at NSterchele@VinelandCity.org or send an anonymous tip to VPD.TIPS from any smart device.
