If you're a big fan of the HBO series The Sopranos then I'm sure you are so looking forward to the prequel to the award-winning mob series. The Many Saints of Newark debuts on the big screen and HBO Max starting October 1st.

The much-anticipated prequel will also feature Mays Landing resident John Ruggiero according to the Press of Atlantic City. The actor will appear in a prominent scene in the film and will portray wiseguy Johnny Bookie who of course is a bookie.

Ruggerio, who now works as a mortgage banker, first started acting in the early '80s and has appeared as an extra in the Color of Money. He's also spent time working at the casinos and boardwalk in Atlantic City. The Many Saints of Newark takes place in the summer of 1967 during the Newark Riots and features a teenage Tony Soprano played by James Gandolfini's son Micheal Gandolfini.

Ruggerio has stayed busy since his Many Saints gig. He'll be part of the film The Reunion and he was involved in a pilot filmed at Showboat in Atlantic City.

I'm so looking forward to the Many Saints of Newark and the trailer to the film looks awesome!. I was an avid fan of the Sopranos and have watched every episode multiple times.
