I've been to several dog parks and the dogs always love the ability to run and be with other canines where they can play and get healthy exercise.

This new dog park is located at Freedom Fields County Park in Little Egg Harbor. The park is expected to open Tuesday, June 1st. The park will accommodate small and large dogs with 4.5 acres of land at the park on Route 539 in Little Egg Harbor. The dog park will be open from 8 am to 7:30 pm.

According to the Ocean County Park System web site, you will need to register your dog. Dogs must be at least six months of age. There is a $5 annual fee.

Registration Requirements:

  • Application
  • Proof of current vaccinations
  • Providing the dog’s original current license

Owners can register there dogs at various sights around the county. For more information on registering to use the dog park, call 732-506-9090 or visit website www.oceancountyparks.org

Even with all of these resources, however, the best cure for food poisoning is preventing it in the first place. To give you an idea of what human foods can be dangerous, Stacker has put together a slideshow of 30 common foods to avoid. Take a look to see if there are any that surprise you.
