Atlantic City Alum to Pitch In Minor League All Star Game

Atlantic City High School 2012 graduate Brett Kennedy, of Brigantine, has been tapped to participate in the AAA Minor League All Star Game next week.

Kennedy, who plays for the El Paso Chihuahuas, played college baseball at Fordham University, and was an 11th round pick of the San Diego Padres in the 2015 major league baseball draft.

Kennedy, who has a record of 7 wins and no losses, is currently carrying an Earned Run Average of 2.58.

The AAA All Star Game is July 11th in Columbus, Ohio.

Currently, Kennedy is knocking on the door of the Padres big league club. The Padres are in last place in the National League West. It's believed that the team will sell off some of it's higher priced assets before baseball's trade deadline - and that could very well open up a spot for Kennedy on the big league staff as a starting pitcher.
