You might soon skip the casino hotels and give this new idea a try.

A touch of modernism and eco-friendly to boot; those are just two of the reasons people are turning to shipping containers as building materials for houses, businesses, etc. Not to mention, the homes actually look really awesome when completed.

NJ.com revealed yesterday that Atlantic City might be getting a shipping container construct of its own. Would you stay in a hotel made out of cargo containers? Fasano Properties received approval from the CRDA to break ground near New York Ave and St. James Place for a new hotel. It will reportedly have ten rooms and come in at around 10,000 square feet.

More information is sure to follow as this project unfolds, but so far NJ.com has reported that each hotel room will be about 320 square feet. Also, apparently if all goes well, we can expect this project to be completed some time this year!
