Bridgeton Opens Child Advocacy Center
On Commerce Street in Bridgeton, a ribbon-cutting ceremony was held earlier this week to open the new Child Advocacy Center.
This news comes on the heals of the disappearance of 5-year-old Dulce Alavez. The child disappeared from a Bridgeton park back on September 16th of this year. Since then, her mother has appeared on the Dr. Phil show in an effort to attract national attention to her daughter's story in the hope of bringing her home.
NJ.com reports that the ceremony was held this past Monday. What could this possibly mean if Dulce Alavez is found alive and well? The Child Advocacy Center will be a safe place for children dealing with issues of assault and the like. Would this mean that if Dulce returns home safe and sound, she could spending some time there? Possibly.
It's also been reported that there's a mock courtroom inside the advocacy center to help children who need to testify during a trial feel more comfortable with the process.
