March is Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month. Now, having a colonoscopy is probably not the most fun thing you could do. But you know what would be even less fun?  Having colorectal cancer.

Colorectal cancer is the second leading cancer killer in the United States, but it doesn't have to be. Colorectal Cancer is actually one of the most preventable of all cancers.

Screening can detect precancerous polyps so they can be removed before turning into cancer. Screening also helps find colorectal cancer at an early stage, when treatment often leads to a cure.

If you are 50 years old or older, get screened now. Most people only need the test every 10 years. The CDC is launching a new campaign called Screen for Life. Click here to learn more.
