It's break-up season. So many break-ups seem to occur around the holidays; December is the most popular month for break-ups, too. Is there really a "good time" to tell someone you don't want to be with them anymore, though? Yeah, I doubt it. Right before the holidays, though, has got to be the absolute worst time to end things especially if you were planning on spending them together.

10 Daily claims today is the most popular day of the year for people due to a study that involved the analysis of Facebook posts from 2018 and found that December 11th is the day when people will most likely end a relationship before the holidays.

While some speculate break-ups happen so often this time of year because people don't want to buy gifts for their significant others, one relationship expert, Simone Milasas, tells 10 Daily that today is the number one day because of people not wanting to start off the new year in a situation they're not happy with.

"Being so close to Christmas people don’t want to spend the holidays with someone they are uncertain about. Really, are you going to have a good time during the holidays if you are in a relationship that isn’t working for you?  Relationship shouldn’t be a necessity -- it should be a choice. You  know the energy of when someone doesn’t want to be around  you.''

If you're one of the unlucky souls who gets dumped today, use this time to find out what means to you. Remember, taking time for yourself is a good thing. Sorry that you're a statistic, though.
