Former Millville Cop Pleads Guilty to Using Excessive Force on Women
An ex-Millville cop has admitted to using excessive force on women in two separate incidents.
Joseph Dixon, who recently resigned from Millville Police Department, plead guilty to aggravated assault Wednesday, for two incidents that took place in 2018, reports 6abc.com.
28-year-old Dixon admitted he threw a woman to the ground after arresting her on a DWI. She suffered broken ribs.
Authorities say he also slammed the mom of a suspect caught shoplifting to the floor and used pepper spray on her.
Dixon now faces 364 days in the Cumberland County jail and probation, and will be barred from law enforcement or from holding any other public position in the Garden State.
