A man who currently lives in Texas has been arrested for allegedly sexually assaulting a student in 2016 when he was a teacher at Ocean City High School.

Cape May County Prosecutor Jeffrey Sutherland and Ocean City Police Chief Jay Prettyman say 34-year-old Ricardo Valle, now of Seabrook, TX, was arrested and charged with two counts of sexual assault, one count of official misconduct, one count of endangering the welfare of a child, and one count of criminal sexual contact on February 27th.

The charges were the result of an investigation after it was reported that Valle allegedly sexually assaulted a student in 2016 while he was a teacher at Ocean City High School.

Notes from a meeting of the Ocean City Board of Education from June 22, 2016, show that they accepted Valle's resignation as a music teacher at the high school effective as of July 1, 2016.
