Bruce Deifik, the former owner of Ocean Resort Casino in Atlantic City, has passed away.

He reportedly passed away in Denver, Colorado on Sunday, according to Press of Atlantic City. The coroner has not yet revealed an official cause of death, but Deifik's lawyer Paul O’Gara told Associated Press that the developer was killed in a car crash on his way home from a Colorado Rockies baseball game. There may be an investigation that Deifik suffered some sort of medical emergency while at the wheel, according to NJ.com.

Deifik's company AC Ocean Walk LL shelled out more than $225 million for the former Revel Casino Hotel back in January of 2018.

A spokesperson for Ocean Resort released a statement saying, 'The Ocean family is grateful for Bruce having the vision to re-open this beautiful oceanfront property and employing over 3,000 members of our community. Our thoughts and prayers are with the family."
