Holmdel Township has passed an ordinance banning tailgating at venues that hold over 4,000 people -- which pretty much means no more pre-show partying at the PNC Bank Arts Center.

The township, citing problems in the past that both disturb area residents and put a strain on their police department, passed an ordinance banning tailgating at venues with more than 4,000 seats. The PNC Bank Arts Center seats 7,000. The ordinance is reportedly worded in such a way that the only thing people can do in the Arts Center's parking lot is park a car. Live Nation, who runs the venue, would be held responsible for any violations.

Shows schedueld for the PNC Bank Arts Center include Dierks Bentley on May 18th and Toby Keith on July 25th.
